I hate it because it ask me to install Itunes. I only use Quicktime, then it ask me to install Itunes and Safari??? Someone else should have bought Quicktime for god sake.
Awful, just awful. John Lilly is right, it is wrong, and borders on malware distribution practices. It undermines the trust with users. It's a bad practice and should stop.
Contrary to other comments, this tool doesn't bother me in the slightest! Maybe it's just because I love Apple's software...
Apple is spyware malware crapware...thanks
I agree with all the people. This "tool" is annoying. First, it wanted me to update Quicktime and install iTunes, then when I bought an iPod and had to install sucky iTunes, it is now telling me that I need to install Safari. It is like if they were forcing you to use their software. Not cool.
I don't frelling want to install Safari you stupid piece of malware! I tell you, if Microsoft had tried to pull something like this, they'd get sued a million times over.
Also, iTunes is crap.
This disgusting piece of software not only pops up every other day with updates (I think Crapple coded it to pop up when full screen games and movies are on), it disguises new software as updates in an attempt to fool users into installing them.
Just now Crapple tried to make me install their SH1TTY browser thru this crap.
Thanks apple for reminding me how crappy of a company you are. I just uninstalled all crapple software and my PC is faster and more reliable then ever!
I hate this.. its just annoying
Just now it tried to get me to install safari... I dont want to install safari and i dont even have safari already installed to update, im just happy with my firefox
fair enough that apple want us to update iTunes and quicktime like every month, but is it really necessary to update so frequently and pop up saying i need to update at the most annoying times? Surely I can still access the music store and use iTunes without updating all the time.
This program (at least on Windows) has the rather annoying feature of stealing the focus from other applications when it's really not necessary.
I should update iTunes - fine, it's not the end of the world. This kind of thing shouldn't be interrupting my work.
Aside from that, the updater seems to work fine.
