Facebook is a social networking website launched on February 4, 2004. The free-access website is privately owned and operated by Facebook, Inc. People can also add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profile to notify friends about themselves. The website's name refers to the paper facebooks depicting members of a campus community that some US colleges and preparatory schools give to incoming students, faculty, and staff as a way to get to know other people on campus.

Good but there are privacy concerns and who owns all the info you post??? Why that would be Facebook. And what can they do with the info??? Anything they please. They own your ass! And mine to come think of it!
Well I can't really say a bad word about a free site that keeps you in contact with those around you. A very effective way of finding old friends and new ones through the multiple groups you can join. If your also close to on line people its an effective way of keeping in touch with them as well if your not a fan of MSN or other IM's. The new style doesn't quite beat the old style IMO but you can bash them for keeping it up to date and orderly ^_^
Over all a brilliant way of keeping in contact eith people as well as fun add ons, quizes and groups.

Great social service. They keep pushing the competition even though they are on top. Facebook Connect just got released for example. It's also simple and clean(design wise), which I like.

It would be way much better if they went to the old layout instead of the new layout. The new myspace layout is so much better.
