Flickr adds a subtle something to photography. It's hard to put your finger on it, but when you upload your photos and see them all together on the site among so many brilliant others, you'll know.

Great way of sharing my pictures
Flickr is IMHO the best place to share photos with a great community and lots of traffic. The Flickr API is quite comprehensive, allowing you to code your own photo management tools, if you're so inclined. Many third-party Flickr tools and widgets are available.
