SimpleTeX4ht is a Mac OS X graphical user interface for TeX4ht that translates LaTeX files into :
- HTML or XHTML
- MathML
- Text Encoding Initiative (TEI)
- DocBook
- OpenDocument (.odt which is the native format of OpenOffice.org)

TeX4ht is typically run from the UNIX command line by doing something like ‘htlatex filename "options1" "option2" "options3" "options4"’. SimpleTeX4ht is a GUI to make it friendlier to use.
For the best display, some TeX constructions, such Formulae and equations may be rendered as images in the converted file.
This is the rendering of the LaTeX input string\[ \lambda = \sum_{i=1}^{n} \left( \frac{1}{r} \right)^{\ell_i} \]
SimpleTeX4ht doesn’t include TeX4ht.

SimpleTeX4ht is free open source software and is released under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL).
SimpleTeX4ht runs natively on both Power PC and Intel based Macintosh computers.
