Norton AntiVirus (NAV) is a product of Symantec Corporation and is one of the most widely used antivirus programs. Norton AntiVirus is sold as a standalone product and is also included as part of Norton SystemWorks. In addition, there is also a standalone corporate edition version, which is aimed at a centrally managed corporate environment. It is called Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition and has different features not present in the traditional retail version of the software.

a good software I have used
Runs silently, updated constantly, and does not interfere with other programs. With a functional interface and full feature set, I'd recommend this if it's available to you. The real-time virus scan has a 32MB memory footprint which is quite acceptable for any modern computer.
I use the corporate version in our firm. It is very good compared to the home version. Interface looks ancient but hey at this level we are looking for good performance, manageability and protection. This fits the bill as it can run a host of OSes from 98 to vista. Highly recommended for business use. PS: Makes good home use as well.

Crap!
The corporate and enterprise editions are much less bloated than the consumer editions, and run a lot more seamlessly. Despite that, I would recommend using NOD32 instead, it's got a smaller memory footprint and just works better overall.

Good God. The worst crap out there. If I didn't have to use it, I wouldn't. System Hog that wraps it tendrils around everything, sold to the over paranoid.
