Disabled, since Kaspersky Internet Security protects this system better than Microsoft ever could!
I like it.
Pretty good considering it's free and comes with Windows.
I especially like the system changes notification feature where it alerts you of changes like apps added to startup and whatnot.
quite useless application
thx god for validation crack
I've had it disabled for a long while now in Vista as I felt like I had adequate protection, and was fed up with it trying to update all the time... I may have to try it again though if its improved
Pretty nice program, one of the better free ones...
I love this program and I would recommend it to anyone, but I also have Norton... Doesn't matter, they're both good.
In my opinion one of the best spyware catchers out there, i have seen this catch items that have evaded Ad-Aware and spybot many times on various systems. This is always the spyware protection i recommend when anyone asks me what they should be using

It's free and it doesn't seem to impact performance running in the background. I guess it works.
Nice program. Makes my life easier
Windows Defender is very handy. It has blocked several attacks yet. Only the scan function in Vista kinda sucks. I have 2TB in my PC. It takes over 24 hours to complete the scan. With the default settings (everyday scan) defender is scanning all the time :-) So you have to set it to scan once a week. It's still enough. Even once a month will do.
It is kinda strange it has not been added to the XP update program. (You can install it manualy though)
It's nice that Microsoft is finally building in some protection to their own operating system instead of requiring users to buy/install third party software to do something that should be the job of the OS. I mean yes third party solutions should always be an option, but there needs to be SOME degree of protection against spyware/viruses by the OS itself. Viruses not so much, but at least spyware and malicious software removal is now built-into the OS.
Don't have an illusion.
This program price already include in Windows!
good thing thats its free
