Yahoo! Widgets is a free application platform for Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. The software was previously called Konfabulator, but after being acquired by computer services company Yahoo! it was rebranded. The name Konfabulator was subsequently reinstated as the name of the underlying rendering engine. The engine uses a JavaScript runtime environment combined with an XML interpreter to run small applications referred to as Widgets, and hence is part of a class of software applications called widget engines.

Nice utilities if you find the right one!
i prefer these widgets to windows sidebar because they aren't locked to a sidebar
Extra !
it's best widget I saw...
Good utility. Of course results depend of installed widgets. Personally I use it only to get constantly updated weather forecast and exchange rate on my desktop ....
As for any tool like this, the more widgets you install, the more precious Ram it will suck.
Tres bon logiciel de widget.
Pas assez parametrable.
good....but its a widgit engine....which means the things are all about the screen. But beyond that, its good program. It gets the job done well.
Great for listening to the radio on the computer. The only thing that irritates me about the program is the inability to keep settings. I would go to the recently used list, click on the widget and 'error'....widget...zip file...
Yahoo widget engine is what dashboard should be. It's not perfect, but pretty darn close. The only place i see Yahoo widget engine failing is in widgets. Dashboard is currently the most popular, so naturally it has more widgets. Remember: before this thing was Yahoo widget engine it was Konfabulator, when Konfabulator was released there was no such thing as Dashboard. Apple tends to do this often, see: CoverFlow(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cover_Flow) Yahoo widget engine has a lot of "why isn't this is Dashboard" type features like, pinning widgets to the desktop, having widgets act as normal widgets, and a widget dock. I have replaced Dashboard entirely with Yahoo widget engine, and have been pretty impressed. see:
